The Ministry of Health has announced the commencement of recruitment for Medical and Dental Officers who have completed their House Job and have been verified by the Medical and Dental Council.
In a public announcement dated July 2, 2026, the Ministry said the recruitment exercise is targeted at the 36th batch of Medical Officers and Dentists. The process is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.
According to the statement, qualified applicants are required to apply formally through the Ministry of Health’s online application portal at hr.mohrecruitment.com and follow the instructions to select their preferred district for postings.
The Ministry indicated that available vacancies are currently under the Ghana Health Service, Christian Health Association of Ghana, Ahmadiyya, and the Mental Health Authority.
The deadline for submission of applications is Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at 6:00 p.m.
The Ministry also cautioned applicants against dealing with fraudulent individuals who may claim to offer assistance for a fee. It stressed that the recruitment process remains transparent and that applicants are not required to make any payment.
“Applicants are therefore advised to be cautious of fraudulent individuals who may claim to offer assistance for a fee. The Ministry advises all applicants NOT to make any payment for this process,” the statement said.
The announcement further stated that the 34th and 35th batches of Medical and Dental Officers who applied but did not report may also participate in the recruitment exercise. However, their participation will be limited to their original regions, as posted, if vacancies remain.
The notice was signed by Frank Raji, Director, General Administration, for the Minister of Health.
The recruitment is expected to strengthen healthcare delivery across the country, especially in districts and facilities requiring additional medical and dental professionals.
