The University of Cape Coast community is mourning the death of 20-year-old student and social media content creator Enoch Eshun, popularly known as Enokay, following an incident in which he was reportedly pushed by another student and fell while returning from lectures.

According to an account attributed to his grieving mother, Enoch was returning from lectures when another student allegedly pushed him, causing him to fall and sustain injuries.
The family described the incident as an accidental push. However, the identity of the student involved and the precise circumstances surrounding the reported misunderstanding or contact have not been publicly disclosed.
Enoch was subsequently rushed to a hospital, where he underwent medical examinations and received treatment.
His mother said doctors conducted an X-ray and other tests before discharging him after his condition appeared to have improved.
“Enokay has sadly passed away, and the reports of his passing are true,” his mother reportedly confirmed.
She explained that her son initially responded positively to treatment and continued his recovery at home.
According to her, Enoch appeared to be getting better and showed no immediate signs that his condition would later become critical.
Condition reportedly worsened after discharge
The family said Enoch’s condition suddenly deteriorated several days after he had been discharged from the hospital.
His mother recounted that he initially complained of dizziness and was advised to rest.
After waking up, however, he reportedly told his family that he was “seeing stars” whenever he closed his eyes.
Later that evening, the symptoms became more serious when he began experiencing both dizziness and stomach pain.
His relatives immediately rushed him back to the hospital for medical attention.
According to the mother, nurses examined him shortly after the family arrived but sadly pronounced him dead.

The exact medical cause of Enoch’s death has not yet been officially disclosed.

Enoch lived with a rare medical condition
Before his death, Enoch had been living with a rare genetic medical condition known as Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva, commonly abbreviated as FOP.
The condition gradually causes muscles, tendons and ligaments to be replaced by bone, leading to severe restrictions in movement.

His condition also made travelling to lectures extremely difficult because he could not comfortably use conventional public transport.
The cost of hiring private vehicles to attend lectures reportedly placed a significant financial burden on his family.
His story touched many Ghanaians and generated widespread calls for assistance.
Following the public appeal, businessman Yaw Amponsah Marfo, popularly known as Agya Wiase, reportedly donated a Hyundai Tucson vehicle and GH¢20,000 to support Enoch and his family.
The vehicle was intended to make it easier for him to travel to lectures and attend to his daily responsibilities without relying on expensive hired transportation.

Following confirmation of his death, students, friends, social media followers and other well-wishers have expressed shock and sadness.
Many have remembered him as a courageous and cheerful young man who continued pursuing his university education despite living with an extremely challenging medical condition.
