Guazi used car, China's leading used car e-commerce platform, is extending its digital car-buying model to buyers and dealers in selected overseas markets. The company pairs online
The report indicates that china-based used car e-commerce platform Guazi has expanded its overseas operations to Ghana and other selected international markets, offering buyers and dealers inspection-backed vehicle sourcing services aimed at making cross-border purchases more transparent and accessible.
It further notes that the company stated its overseas expansion currently focuses on selected markets across Africa, the Middle East, Central Asia and Eastern Europe, where demand for reliable used vehicle sourcing from China continues to grow.
Founded in September 2015, Guazi operates a digital platform that combines online vehicle listings with inspection reports, pricing information and buyer-matching services. According to the company, it has facilitated more than three million used car transactions, inspected over 30 million vehicles and established coverage in more than 200 cities across China.
The company says its inspection process is central to its business model, with every listed vehicle undergoing a multi-point assessment before being advertised. Buyers are able to review detailed condition reports, alongside photographs and videos, allowing them to evaluate vehicles remotely before making purchasing decisions.
Guazi also uses big data and artificial intelligence tools to assist buyers in comparing vehicles, matching inventory to customer preferences and identifying records that may require additional review. The platform also supports sourcing of electric and hybrid vehicles, including battery health assessments.
As part of its overseas expansion strategy, the company is strengthening its local presence through partnerships and direct operations.
In Georgia, Guazi is working through its officially designated service partner, AIG, which provides buyer consultation, vehicle information reviews and service coordination.
In Ghana, the company has established a directly operated local team to provide consultation services and assist buyers as they review vehicle information and make cross-border purchasing decisions.
Guazi and AIG strengthen collaboration as part of the company’s overseas expansion.
According to the company, the approach combines its online platform with local market knowledge to support users throughout the sourcing process.
The platform targets dealers, importers, rental companies, showroom operators and fleet buyers by providing access to vehicle listings, inspection information and purchasing options, while local teams and service partners assist with documentation, logistics and service coordination where available.
Overseas buyers can purchase vehicles through either an auction system or a fixed Free-on-Board (FOB) pricing model.
Under the fixed FOB option, buyers receive a predetermined price covering costs up to loading the vehicle at the departure port in China. Additional expenses, including freight, customs duties, taxes, port charges and local delivery costs, remain subject to the import regulations of each destination country.
Guazi stated its overseas teams and partners also provide guidance on documentation, customs procedures and logistics to help buyers navigate cross-border transactions.
