Members of the Calvary Charismatic Centre (CCC) Ayigya branch in Kumasi have prayed for Almighty God's intervene from the Almighty God in the ongoing 2026 World Cup edition. 


The Church held a Watch Night Service lifting Ghanaians in prayers over marriages, financial difficulties and unemployment situations facing the people among others.

Resident Pastor, Ps Joshua Obeng led team of associate pastors, the youth and prayer warriors of the church to pray against defeat and any unforseen situation that might happen to the Black Stars team members in the next match. 

"Our prayer is that the LORD will help them to do their best. Father, help them so that they can do their best to their best of their ability.', Pastor Obeng prayed with supplication and thanksgiving to the Lord God.


"We're not praying that the Black Stars should score or win ....No! ...no! Our pray is that the Whatever score that comes I'm okay with it. The LORD should strengthen them that there will be no injuries ." the preacher prayed fervently to God


Black Stars of Ghana lost the last Group L 2026 FIFA World Cup match 1-2 to Croatia, and the defeat means dropping to third place with four points, and qualifying for the Round of 32 as the second best third‑placed teams.

Ghana will face Colombia in Kansas City on Saturday July 4 at Kansas City.

Croatia secured the second automatic place with the 2-1 win over Ghana on Saturday night and they will play the winners of Group K, Portugal.

The Black Stars of Ghana officially secured a place in the knockout stage even ahead of their final Group L match against Croatia, following results elsewhere in the tournament.
